Holographic dense QCD and neutron stars

Le workshop Holographic dense QCD and neutron stars aura lieu du 23 au 25 novembre 2017 à l’Ecole normale supérieure de Paris.

The program will focus on recent developments on connections between dense strongly-coupled quark and nuclear matter systems, heavy ion collisions, and holography in connection to neutron stars. We aim to bring together experimentalists, QCD and nuclear physics theorists with high energy theorists. Such combinations have led to fruitful discussions over different disciplines recently, and the current proposal is a natural continuation along this line, with the aim of forming new collaborations across disciplines.
The meeting will consist of lectures given by invited speakers, postdocs, and graduate students. Invited speakers include:
Nick Evans (Southampton)
Carlos Hoyos (Oviedo)
Romuald Janik (Krakow)*
Elias Kiritsis (Crete and Paris)
Aleksi Kurkela (Geneva and Stavanger)
David Mateos (Barcelona)
Francesco Nitti (Paris)
Joonas Nättilä (Turku)
Micaela Oertel (Paris)
Andreas Schmitt (Southampton)
Jacob Sonnenschein (Tel Aviv)
Helvi Witek (Barcelona)
Kent Yagi (Charlottesville)
