The International Relations Department :
- Its purpose is to submit strategies for extending the international reach of the ENS to the director, to put them into practice and to represent the ENS in partner universities.
- The International Relations Department draws up the student mobility policy students and takes care of each stage in the preparation: place and role of studying abroad in the students’ education, choice and negotiation of partnerships, application procedure and selection of candidates, and manages the ERASMUS programmes and the student grants for international mobility (AMIE) from the Île-de-France Region. The many informal exchange agreements between research lecturers are still an important basis for student mobility, particularly for laboratory internships for science students.
- It helps the Arts and Science departments to set up projects, both by creating exchanges and by preparing applications for international research project funding.
The International Relations Department relies on a network of correspondents in the Arts and Science departments, all of who have close connections with the various programmes and projects underway
The International Directorate
The International Directorate is made up of the director of the ENS, the deputy director for the Arts and the deputy director for the Sciences. It meets regularly to discuss the international action of the ENS and to determine priority areas in implementing its policy.
